Foreign on the spot fitment camps: BMVSS organise on the spot camps in Foreign country by now 104 camps have been held covering 42 countries in the world mention below.

    The amputee can visit Jaipur and other centers of BMVSS as also on-the-spot artificial limb fitment camps when held by BMVSS in different parts of the country for getting artificial limbs. He does not have to seek prior appointment.

    He has to bring some basic documents like Aadhar Card, Disability Certificate etc.

    Jaipur Foot / Limb is a prosthetics using polymer (HDPE) for custom made socket, which is linked with specially designed Jaipur Foot (distinct from SACH Foot used in the Western Technology). Special joint, called the Jaipur-Knee, (developed by Stanford University, USA and BMVSS) is mostly provided, additionally for above-knee amputees.

    A Below-knee amputee with Jaipur Foot / Limb, can generally walk even or uneven ground, run, sit, squat, climb, swim, dance etc. An Above-knee amputee has most of these functions. Apart from providing mobility, Jaipur Foot / Limb is very light, durable and easy to maintain. Its life span in most of the cases is three to four years. After which, replacement is possible.

    Any amputee (unless there is a complication), whether below knee or above knee, can get Jaipur Foot / Limb. There is a total equality; there is no distinction on the basis of caste, religion, region, economic status etc. Besides, all the amputees get Jaipur Foot / Limb totally FREE OF CHARGE

    Jaipur Foot is the only non-articulated foot in the world which provides adequate mobility and all three planes namely Dorsi-Flexion, Inversion / Eversion and Transverse Rotation. With these advantages the mobility provided by it (as stated Ans.2) is generally more than possible with other limbs.

    Jaipur Foot is like human foot or bio-mimetic, unlike most of the western designed limbs which are activity specific. Jaipur Foot is designed in such a way that its one design permits various activities. It is a universal foot.

    BMVSS provides other assistive devices like calipers to polio patients, wheelchairs, hand-paddled tricycles, crutches, walkers, hearing aids etc. also for FREE.

    YES. Any generous donor in India can donate in form of cheques, drafts or through online transactions on the specified banks. (Banking Details Copy from brochure last page) BMVSS is permitted under FCRA to receive donations from abroad. The foreign citizens or NRIs can send the donation amount online to the account of BMVSS (details given later) with the Parliament Branch of State Bank of India, New Delhi.
